The focus is on allowing the sense of open awareness to become aware of thoughts, feelings and even the sense of self.

If Mindfulness meditation as a practice has any goal, it is to enable us to reach the stillness of conscious open awareness without all the discipline and verbal coaxing, so that it becomes a state we can yield to frequently and reflexively.
